Jackie Delagrange, Associate Attorney

Jackie brings a rare blend of legal expertise, heartfelt compassion, and educator’s clarity to her work with families planning for the future. Grounded in the belief that she was put on this earth to help people, Jackie approaches every case with empathy, deep care, and a commitment to doing the next right thing.

Before becoming an attorney, Jackie spent years serving children and families in need, giving her a profound understanding of the many types of challenges families can face. She also spent over a decade as an award-winning professor and Department Chair at Trine University, helping students find their calling in law and service-based professions. That same gift for teaching now helps her clients feel confident and at ease throughout the legal process.

Inspired to make a direct difference through legal work, Jackie earned her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2017 and later opened her own firm focused on estate planning, guardianships, and Social Security Disability appeals. We’re proud to have her bring her experience and compassion to our clients at Erin Johnson Legal.

Jackie now lives in New Mexico with her husband who works with the U.S. Air Force and their four beloved rescue dogs. When she’s not helping clients, she enjoys gardening, canning, quilting, exploring national parks, and volunteering in her local community.

Jenny Johnson, Client Care Administrative Assistant

Her last name is a fun coincidence, but Jenny fits right in with the Erin Johnson Legal team bringing a passion for serving families cultivated over years spent working as an educator in classrooms, camps, preschools, church, and with special needs families. She appreciates the diverse needs of families understanding no two families are the same, and finds great value in supporting our client who are bravely planning ahead for the inevitable as an act of love for those who matter most.

Often the first point of contact, clients experience Jenny as empathetic and eager to help, as she is energized by walking alongside others offering careful listening and reliable follow-through that builds trust.

Jenny’s family is her highest priority and she spends much of her time supporting her husband in his work as a CPA and getting her kids to their music lessons and sporting events. She also makes time to prioritize investing in supportive relationships with other women and taking walks, reading books, or practicing piano, guitar or singing. You can also find her at almost any home hockey game cheering on the Indy Fuel!

Dan Johnson, Director of Family Legacy | Founder of Oak & Iron Family

Dan Johnson serves as our Director of Family Legacy and is the founder of Oak & Iron Family, a sister effort helping families think through what really matters as they seek to strengthen their family with intentional planning.

As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation, Dan spent years supporting high school and college students on to employees of top-tier companies around the world on the topics of vocational identity and work-life balance. Dan later shifted his focus from guiding individuals to guiding families to live with greater purposeful intention.

Now, at Erin Johnson Legal, Dan offers clients a complimentary conversation after their planning consultation, which provides a chance to clarify the "why" behind the decisions they've just made and to think about legacy in the fuller sense: not just who gets what, but what you hope your family carries forward. It's optional, and it's meant to leave you as confident in your plan as you are in what it protects.

Dan founded Oak & Iron Family to carry that work further, for anyone ready to be more intentional about the family they're building. Learn more at oakandironfamily.com.
